Can't wait to start the day? Take a few extra minutes in the shower and
let warm water loosen up your muscles as you prepare to do this shoulder
blade squeeze stretch.
Place your feet flat on the floor about hip width apart. Interlace your
fingers behind your back and draw your palms toward one another as you
press your hands away from your shoulders, lengthening your arms.
Notice your chest moving forward and opening as your shoulder blades
squeeze together, Relax your chin down toward your chest, breath deeply
and let the warm water soothe your back.
You may want to experiment with opening and closing your palms while
keeping your fingers interlaced. Release the stretch slowly and make any
special adjustments with your body that feel good.
